Santa Clause is Coming – New Lyrics

Sunday, December 21st, 2008

Emma has been learning many many Christmas songs at preschool. Here is one of my favorites – her version of Santa Clause is Coming to Town:

You better not shout, better now cry, better not hit, I’m tell-win you why. Santa Clause is coming to town.

He knows you when you’re sleeping.
He sees you waking up.
He knows if you’ve been bad or not
so hmm hmm hmmm goodness sake.

You better not shout, better not cry, better not push, better not hit.

Santa clause is coming to town!

Wonderful Halloween!

Sunday, November 2nd, 2008

We had a lovely Halloween day!  First, we loaded our two black and white kitties up in their car seats for a ride to daycare, where all the children wore costumes all day.  All the classrooms participated in a school parade inside to show their costumes to one another, and Emma even got to march in a ‘parade’ around the block, too, while all the kids from her class played rhythm instruments.

After ‘school,’ Emma trick or treated in our neighborhood, and announced that this was the best Halloween ever!  We had lots of fun.

Another Day

Monday, October 20th, 2008

Turns out that my friend didn’t forget our mom/kid playdate!  She just thought that the 18th was a Sunday, not a Saturday.  So she showed up on Sunday and wondered where the H-E-double-toothpicks I was!?  So we both had that experience this weekend.  A real bummer.  But we’ll get together another time.

In other news, our new neighborhood has never seen the likes of the cuteness that is going to spring forth from our house this Halloween night.

I’ll post a picture of them trying out their costumes soon…..

Hunting for Easter Eggs

Hunting for Easter Eggs

And she’s off!

Emma did a great job finding and collecting her 10 eggs in the 3 minutes alloted for 2 and 3 years olds.

(That’s Daddy in the near background, looking on, with a coffee cup).
